The Foundation rescues horses that would otherwise be sent to slaughter. These horses are then cared for and rehabilitated in part by the children and young adults who come to the Foundation for therapy. Once healthy and fit enough, the horses may be re-homed, remain at Bear Spot or retire to Tennessee. We are always looking for individuals to help us bring a new rescue horse into the program.
